Tennis elbow
Tennis elbow is a specific form of tendonitis, which affects the elbow.
It’s often called tennis elbow or golfer’s elbow. It’s common in these sports because of the repetitive actions that are necessary – swinging a golf club, or a tennis racquet.
Tendonitis occurs when the tendon becomes inflamed. It usually gets better with rest, but if symptoms persist longer than 3 weeks, you should seek help from a medical professional.
Swelling, pain, heat and redness are all common.
Gripping a tennis racquet or golf club and performing the same repetitive motion.
Other actions can also cause tennis elbow, like driving, chopping vegetables and more.
If you use your arm in a repetitive way each day, you’re at risk of developing tennis elbow.
Our osteopaths can diagnose tennis elbow and rule out any other conditions.
