“I use a blend of person-centred and clinically proven techniques to support people from all walks of life – children and adults alike, so they can achieve emotional wellbeing.”
Daniela is a registered clinical psychologist, able to provide care for people of all ages.
She’s well versed in supporting people experiencing psychological distress, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, insomnia, professional or academic stress, self-esteem issues or behavioural challenges.
As a Eurasian who has lived and studied in multiple countries, Daniela has a particular interest in working with individuals navigating life transitions. This might look like adapting to a new country or culture, transitioning between life stages, coping with bereavement and grief, or adjusting to changes in your health status.
Daniela has a person-centred, strengths-based, culturally sensitive approach. She uses evidence-based techniques like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical and behavioural therapy (DBT), and compassion-focused therapy (CFT).
She blends these techniques based on the needs of the individual, helping clients identify patterns rooted in their upbringing and attachment style, so they can let go of thought processes no longer serving them, and achieve their therapeutic goals.
Daniela has experience working in community mental health facilities, outpatient and inpatient hospital units, private child development clinics and academic research settings.
She is an accredited member of the Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Psychologists (HKICP) and a registered clinical psychologist with the Hong Kong Psychological Society.
She originally obtained a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, before completing a master’s in Psychology with the University of Hong Kong. She then completed further training in Early Intervention for Psychosis at King’s College London, before completing her clinical psychology training at the University of Hong Kong.
