Jennifer is a Certified Integrative Manual Therapist (IMT) and a US trained and Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, with over 17 years of clinical practice as an integrative therapist in both the US and Hong Kong.

Jennifer is passionate about supporting the innate healing power of the body through both Eastern and Western natural medicine modalities. She brings together a unique mix of manual therapy, Japanese Acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional wellness. Yet, she also grounds this with the support of modern Functional Medicine diagnostic testing, where appropriate, to assist in uncovering the root cause of symptoms.

What is Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT)?
Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) is a form of structural manual therapy that uses gentle hands-on manipulative techniques to normalize restrictions along multiple systems in the body, such as muscles, joints, blood vessels, fascia, nerves, lymph, organs, emotions and other energetic systems. The mobilization of tissues, structures, and energies in the body remove restrictions to attain a more optimal state of health, wellness and function. As such, IMT is able to address the needs of complex patients.

Jennifer is a certified practitioner of Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) from the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy in the US. She spent over a decade under the direct mentorship of Dr. Sharon Weiselfish-Giammatteo, the founder of IMT. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture in Boston. In addition, she has extensive training and experience in the fields of Nutrition, Nutritional Supplements, Functional Medicine and Body-Based Psycho-Therapeutic work. She brings together these multiple modalities to offer a unique and comprehensive approach to support her client’s optimal healing.

Jennifer has taught IMT seminars internationally for over a decade and is teaching faculty for Dialogues in Contemporary Rehabilitation (DCR) and the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy (CSIMT).

Jennifer is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, promoting one within her family and sharing her knowledge in natural medicine and natural living with her patients. She is the mother of 3 beautiful children.

What to expect in a session?

In your initial consultation, the primary goal is to do an evaluation through multiple body systems in order to find the root cause(s) of the symptoms, disease or problem.

Jennifer will review your medical and family history, details about your signs and/or symptoms, your goals and other relevant information such as diet, hormonal and digestive health. A general exam is conducted and range of motion and movement restrictions are assessed. Jennifer combines this information with Integrative Manual Therapy’s (IMT) total body structural diagnostic assessment to put together a customized treatment plan and nutritional wellness program for each patient.

Initial consultations are one hour. Further recommended treatment plans, both the duration and frequency will be discussed with you, depending upon your needs.

After the initial evaluation, a typical session with Jennifer may include Integrative Manual Therapy’s (IMT) hands-on manipulative techniques, recommended Functional Medicine diagnostic testing, nutritional recommendations, prescriptions of supplements, herbs or tinctures and Japanese Acupuncture.
